Mayor  - Steve Woodruff

Steve Woodruff

Steve was born in Ohio and raised in Jackson Center. After his graduation in 1988 from Jackson Center High School, he began employment at Honda of America Manufacturing in Anna. He is still currently employed by Honda and works in the Drive Shaft Area.

Steve married his wife Angie in 1992. In 1996, they moved to Angie's hometown of Botkins. Steve began his political career as a Botkins Village Council member when he was asked to fill a vacated council seat. He was voted Council President in January of 2006. In November 2006, he filled the vacant role of mayor that occurred when Jim King stepped down. In November of 2007 he was elected Botkins Village Mayor.

While Steve is kept busy attending his six monthly meetings associated with his job as mayor, he still finds time to be involved in other organizations. He has served as President of the BCIC. He is a member of the Village Park Board, Botkins Memorial Pool Committee and the Botkins Athletic Boosters. He is an active member of the Shelby County Mayor's Association and the Louise Sheets Advisory Board.

Steve and his wife Angie are the proud parents of six children, Gavrielle, Corinne, Drake, Symone, Jillian and Ava Marie. He is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Botkins. He enjoys spending time at the cottage, in the garden, and with friends and family.

Steve is proud to be the Mayor of Botkins where individuals, families, businesses and organizations actively work together to make Botkins a great hometown. Steve is readily available to speak with all community members and enjoys hearing their concerns, suggestions and comments.
